Introduction
My garden experiment is a 4 x 10 box with a depth of 12 inches. I built this because most of my yard is shaded by large Oak and evergreen trees. I haven't had much success in past summers due to all this shade. I am left with only a few spots of yard where there is actually enough sunlight through the day to possibly grow a vegetable garden. Due to the small size of the area, I didn't want to bother tilling it. A garden box also allowed for easy maintenance. Here are some pictures of the box and its growth.
